The Kiaora lands redevelopment is a $110 million joint venture between the Woollahra Council and Woolworths shipping center. The new development will revitalize the area adding new shops and a library. The increased amenities would require a new 442 space car park to support the development.
The top-level of the car park needed waterproofing of the exposed concrete slabs but normal surface-applied membranes were either not appropriate for vehicle traffic or very expensive. The team decided to use a concrete admixture for the job.
Normally the construction team uses a competitor’s product but for the Kiaora project they chose to use Kryton’s Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) admixture based on the superior product performance and the exceptional service. Twenty-five hundred cubic meters of Kryton’s KIM-treated concrete was used to waterproof the top level parking area of the project. The construction team was pleased with the results of Kryton’s product.
