Vancouver, B.C. – Kryton International announced today that it has expanded its operations in China by opening a regional office in Beijing and launching a Chinese language website. The company said that a number of products from its innovative Krystol Concrete Waterproofing System have recently passed China’s national construction standards tests.
Although Kryton has maintained a presence in China since 1980, China’s construction industry has grown significantly over the past decade and the need for concrete and related waterproofing and repair products has grown exponentially. Kryton’s increased investment in capital, human resources and collateral materials will enable the company to effectively meet the growing demands of the Chinese marketplace.
Kryton’s Beijing office will enable the company to better service the Chinese marketplace and consult directly with clients and builders. Led by regional manager, Richard Syzhou, Kryton’s Beijing team includes a civil engineer who will provide technical guidance on major projects. To support the activities of the Beijing office and provide convenient access to information about Kryton and its products, the company has launched a new Chinese language website, www.krytonchina.com.
Several Kryton concrete waterproofing products, including Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) and Krystol T1/T2, have recently passed China’s national standards tests. Administered a top government testing agency, the tests confirm that the products in question comply with or exceed all Chinese construction standards. These test results demonstrate to government, building owners and contractors that Kryton products perform as promised and provide valuable third party assurance that the products meet all current construction standards.
As a result of its increased investment and presence within China, Kryton International anticipates a four-fold increase in sales within the Chinese market during the coming year.
