Who do we need?

Our current opportunity for a Head of Operations will be responsible for implementing operations strategy and strategic operational goals to meet internal and external customer expectations for product quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels, and driving operational excellence. The chosen candidate will work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, both here and abroad striving for best-in-class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations and managing teams and projects across the business. The right fit for us is an Operations expert who can provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate their team to achieve excellence, and mentor them as they develop new skills, enriching their jobs as they grow and become more valuable to the company.

 

What you’ll do?

An integral part of the Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the President and CEO of the Company, the Head of  Operations will be responsible for providing leadership and managing all aspects of operations and its activities – production, quality, maintenance, and inventory. They are responsible for strategy and development as well as working with the Manufacturing team to translate strategy into specific annual performance goals and department objectives including KPIs.

 

Among your specific tasks :

  • Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
  • Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
  • Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, guidelines, and any associated documents.
  • Ensure manpower requirements are in place to meet the production schedule on time and within quality and cost objectives.
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate the exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs, and make business improvements
  • Proven project management and build quality experience
  • Experience in operating and influencing at a strategic level
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of processes, components, and manufacturing techniques
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • A strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • An appreciation of and an ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures
