Vancouver, B.C. – (October 27, 2009) – Kryton Group of Companies is positioning itself for further international growth by revamping and focusing on its China operations. The company has launched a new office in Beijing and appointed Helen Qiao as chief representative for Kryton China.
China is the third largest economy in the world and, according to the UK’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, has avoided slipping into a recession unlike most other countries. Li Kegiang, China’s vice premier, recently stated the economy was strong and would continue to perform into the future. Kari Yuers, CEO of Kryton, says that while Kryton has had a presence in China since the mid-nineties, the time to grow and develop operations is now.
“We have had tremendous success in China over the past decade as most of the construction in the country is concrete or masonry based,” says Yuers. “We recognize and appreciate all the support we have received from our East Asia distributors and customers. As such, we want to show them our thanks by investing in our operations that serve their needs.”
Kryton’s new office is located in the Ruidu International Center in the Tongzhou district of Beijing. Its strategic location offers easy access to the Beijing Metro as well as road access to the Beijing International Airport. The office can accommodate eight to 10 staff comfortably and currently is the workplace for four employees. It officially opened its doors at the end of August.
Qiao, Kryton’s newest chief representative, has been with the company since 2005. Qiao was instrumental in developing and supporting Kryton’s China-based distribution network. In her new capacity, she will continue to be responsible for the Chinese network as well as co-ordinating technical support for key projects and liaising with Kryton’s headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge with Kryton Group of Companies,” says Qiao. “China is in a period of rapid economic and infrastructure growth, and construction industry professionals want to know how to benefit from it. We can show them how to add value to every project and get the most return from their money and work.”
Kryton was founded in 1973 and has grown to be a multi-million dollar company with offices, distribution partners and manufacturing facilities around the globe. It is a family-run business that employs a team of 75 chemists, engineers and marketing staff worldwide.
Kryton International Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of premium products for waterproofing, repairing and protecting concrete structures.
