Bahri Gardens is a lavish 25-floor residential tower located in the prime area of Raouche facing the Rocks, the Landmark that unmistakably represents the city of Beirut. This development exceeded all expectations in terms of architectural design and high-end luxury features that includes unique facilities and a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Ocean.
Having previously used Kryton products and working with the T.A Group, the main contractor of the project decided to add KIM-HS directly into the concrete mix for basement walls. This was a critical area as the building extends 4 floors below grade near sea line.
The T.A Group supplied and supervised the addition of KIM-HS and the installation of the Krystol Waterstop System..
By simply adding Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) to the concrete mix at the time of batching, waterproofing concrete becomes a quick and easy process that won’t hold up the construction timeline. The Krystol system uses advanced integral crystalline waterproofing technology to transform porous concrete into a permanent, water-resistant barrier and provide a guaranteed defense against water damage and steel reinforcement corrosion. If cracks later form, the incoming water will react with KIM and trigger further crystal growth, filling cracks and keeping the structure watertight. Unlike external membranes, Krystol will not deteriorate - it is guaranteed to last the lifetime of the structure.
The client was satisfied with the products superb waterproofing results and the considerable time savings. The construction crew did not have to experience any interference from membrane applicators and furthermore did not have to worry about ruining fragile membranes. Instead, their time and energy were focused on producing their usual high-quality concrete at an accelerated pace.
