In 1996, the Tangsan Bridge, which links the 1.4 kilometers (0.87 miles) between Hapchong and Tangsan stations in southwestern Seoul over the Han River, was closed due to safety concerns.
During construction of a new bridge, Kryton Korea was contracted to provide Krystol materials for protecting the concrete and to improve its long-term durability and performance.
Over 16,000 kilograms (16.7 tons) of Krystol T1 & T2 Waterproofing System products were used on this important section of the Seoul Subway.
In 1999, subway trains are running on the Tangsan Railroad Bridge once again, as the replacement bridge has successfully passed all the safety tests that followed its three-year construction.
