Watch our webinar: Advanced Strategies for Integral Waterproofing Concrete in Modern Building Envelopes - Watch Now
22 Sep 2000
Office building complex situated along the Thames River, next to the Tower of London.
The underground tunnels were constructed with precast pipes and cast in place concrete using conventional waterproofing systems. Hundreds of leaks occurred through cracks and joint locations where rubber gaskets were failing.
Leaking cracks reached lengths of five feet (1.5 meter), providing passage for steady flows of water up to two gallons per minute!
Kryton’s Krystol Crack Repair System (including Krystol T1/T2) was installed from the inside (negative side) against the water pressure to eliminate water entry.
Krystol products are free of unsafe fumes and ideal in wet and enclosed, tight areas.
To date the leaks have been stopped and the project is successful.
