Background

Beach properties are highly valued for their access to scenic views and close proximity to the beach and leisure opportunities. As a result, the hotels in Miami Beach, Florida, are able to charge a premium price, earning better profits and using them to offer an even better experience to guests. The W South Beach Hotel is one of these hotels, having been equipped with some of the most important amenities a traveler needs, including the following three: location, location, location.

To host guests with the same level of service each time, W South Beach Hotel knew they would need to continually operate at a high level. After all, if the hotel’s elevator stops working or its pool is closed for repairs while a visitor is there, the hotel’s reputation could take a hit. Consequently, once W South Beach Hotel saw leaks through cracks in the concrete walls and slabs around the foundation, they were determined to resolve the issue and find a leak repair system that could repair the damage permanently without interrupting the hotel’s service.

Solution

The contractor chosen for this repair job was EC Consulting Partnership. They realized that Kryton’s Krystol® technology was the best choice for this particular situation, so they chose to use two solutions with that technology: Krystol Plug and Krystol Repair Grout. The contractor used the two products to stop the leaks, fill the cracks, and seal the space from water permanently. This process repaired numerous areas around the foundation slab and the hotel walls. It was also easy to apply, cost-effective, and able to work for the life of the structure. Moreover, it was done without incident or guest disruptions.

All of which ensured that EC Consulting Partnership would not have to worry about being called back to conduct more costly repairs to the same area.
